International Human Rights - Child Labor

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights - Article 25, Section 2 states "Motherhood and
childhood are entitled to special care and assistance. All children, whether born in or out of wedlock, shall enjoy the same social protection". According to current statistics provided by UNICEF, an estimated 158 million children aged 5-14 are engaged in child labour. These statistics are staggering. Child labor effectively denies basic human rights to children, our most valuable resource.
